An absolute gem for connoisseurs and lovers of rare Japanese gaming history! This original Nintendo GameBoy Pocket (MGB-01) has been lovingly restored and rebuilt as a tribute to the legendary Famitsu Model-F special edition from 1997.

The console combines a highly transparent (Clear) front shell, revealing the yellow shimmering board inside, with a noble, matte white back housing. A real visual highlight are the color-coordinated glitter buttons: The D-pad shines in a transparent bronze/brown metallic tone with fine glitter particles, while the A/B buttons sparkle in a soft pink glitter.

The collector's item is completed by the authentic silver real glass screen lens with the iconic "FAMITSU 1997 (MODEL-F)" lettering under the display.

The installed OSD V2 display takes the visual experience to the absolute maximum. The high-end panel shines extremely bright, offers about 11% more screen area than the original LCD, and provides crisp contrasts as well as rich colors from every viewing angle.

Important note about this model: This device is equipped with a real glass screen lens with fixed Famitsu branding. This means the logo under the screen is fixed and cannot be color-adjusted via the menu.

Operation & OSD Menu (Control)

The OSD V2 display is extremely comfortable to operate:

• Brightness via the wheel: Simply turn the side contrast wheel of the GameBoy Pocket to adjust the brightness continuously.

• Control via touch sensors (top of the housing left & right):

  • Left touch sensor: Tap the top left of the housing to adjust brightness stepwise.

  • Right touch sensor: Tap the top right of the housing to cycle directly through the different color modes (palettes).

• Open OSD menu: Press the buttons SELECT + A + B simultaneously to call up the settings menu directly on the screen. Here you can configure fine adjustments such as image position, pixel effect, or battery display.
