What kind of game is this? This 1992 classic released by Squaresoft (now Square Enix) is an absolute cult hit that combines strategic gameplay with a huge dose of parody and humor. As an eccentric prince, you try to defend your kingdom against the "completely cooked" invaders. The absolute highlight of the game is the "Egg Monster" system: using magical eggs, you summon completely bizarre and funny monsters right in the middle of battle to help you out. Accompanied by music from the legendary composer Koichi Sugiyama and packed with humorous references to classic RPG tropes, this title offers a truly unique gaming experience. The exact visual condition of the cartridge, manual, and packaging can be seen in detail in the product images. The cartridge is fully functional; the front label is very clean, the plastic back shows age-related yellowing at the top edge. The printed manual is complete and well preserved. The transparent plastic insert is sturdy and intact. The cardboard box is in used condition; it shows normal edge wear, minor corner bumps, and slight creases. On the left side and top of the box are old, authentic Japanese retro retailer stickers with numbering ("5218"). The game has been successfully tested for functionality.
